Each class is set homework which we would all children to complete. In every class there is an expectation that children will read at home. in addition, all classes will be set some phonics or spelling homework and in Years 5 and 6 there will also be a maths activity. Homework is linked to class work and reinforces learning. By completing it, children are
reviewing work completed in class and this will support the transference of information to their long term memories. We keep this to a minimum as we know that lives are busy and we don’t wish to add to family stress. However, completing tasks at home is a way of sharing your child’s learning and supporting them.
